L.A. Suburbs in the Summer of 1949

So are you ready for another great step back in time? Today’s film was shot in Sherman Oaks right around 1949, and it is a winner- Packed with so many great cars throughout the film, so I know you’ll enjoy this one. Some of my favorites are the 1937 Ford jalopy coupe right at the beginning, the mystery 3 window coupes at 1:30 and 6:23, and the cool travel trailer at 3:25. Now, the second half of the video is primarily shot of all the unique houses, rather than cars on the street, when all of a sudden… Bam! Is that ’32 Five Window coupe hot rod? Yup…

Southern California in the late 40s and early 50s. Could there have been a better time and place to be a young hot rodder?
