Music of the Week: Hot Rod Gang

Before you begin rolling your eyes or bellyaching, let me preface this post by saying that I do get it: Not everybody here likes the same kind of music, regardless of your car tastes; You don’t have to dig 50s Rockabilly or Twang to appreciate traditional hot rods. Leaving that aside for a moment, here’s some chicken-pickin’ 1950s cars songs in a fun compilation called ‘Hot Rod Gang’ from the German label Buffalo Bop. I actually bought this CD brand new, and now I’m scratching my head that it went on sale *30 years ago*  (released in 1993) this year. Regardless, if your wrenching in the garage on a cold winters night, maybe you’ll enjoy some fun tunes like ‘This Old Bomb Of Mine’, ‘Brake Jake’ or my favorite title of the collection: ‘Stop Jivin’, Start Drivin”…
