Delaying the Car Event Bucket List till 2021

Way back in early March this year, I was flying home from judging cars at the Amelia Island Concours, unaware of just how much Covid would radically alter life as we know it in just a matter of days. One by one, the top Concours, every major Motorsport, and essentially all key automotive gatherings slowly announced delays or cancellations. Here we are seven months later, and outside of some virtual car shows, SCTA events, and a few socially-distanced drags & reliability runs, the 2020 car calendar is pretty much toast. My reply to all of this was to help out with some charitable online car events that popped up like Concours Virtual, Petersen Car Week, and the upcoming and appropriately-named ‘Concours d’Cancelation’.  These are fun to be part of, but I really do miss being at live car gatherings and more importantly, seeing old and dear friends of the car world in person. All this chaos only strengthens my resolve to hit 2021 hard, check out different car shows, races, and check a few keys things off my automotive event bucket list like the ones below… What’s still on yours? Hot Rod Revolution, HAMB Drags, RPM Nationals, Colorado Hot Rod Hill Climb, TROG? I’m thinking overseas, and going back to the Goodwood Revival and checking out the Yokohama Mooneyes Show is still on mine…
