Music Video of the Day: Black Grease

Music Video of the Day: Black Grease

I’ve been a huge fan of Brandon Flaner and his team at East Bay Speed & Custom ever since I saw the green ’40 Ford DeLuxe Fordor sedan they showed at the GNRS 3 or 4 years ago. Flaner has his roots deep in the East Bay area of Nor Cal where I live, and got his hot rod influence from Grandpa Bob, who was in the Road Knights Car Club (Walnut Creek) in the 50s and a founding member of the Early Ford V8 Club. Brandon worked for Vintage Color Studio with Darryl Hollenbeck for 10 years before finally opening his own shop in 2012. In that time, the East Bay Speed & Custom boys have built a number of tasty pre-war Fords, including the beautiful 1936 3 W coupe you see below. This baby, built for Brian and Jessica Rusk, took home multiple awards at the GNRS and the Dick Bertolucci personal nod and award at Sacramento in 2019.

All this being said, just wanted you to enjoy the music video below, cause there is nothing better in my mind than watching a smooth black ’36 Three Window rolling down some backroads.
