The Graphic Novel of Racing: Steve McQueen in Le Mans

I’ve had this book for a few years now, and although it’s not hot rod-specific material, don’t get your boxers in a knot… I found myself connecting the dots on how other racings movies or stories could be told in this way; Large format and well-illustrated in the flavor of Michel Vaillant (but much tighter), this book retells the story of Le Mans that dare I say, is more exciting than the actual movie at points? Imagine this visual storytelling applied to the graphic novel of the birth of Hot Rodding in So-Cal in the 1940s, maybe early land speed racing at Bonneville in the 1950s, or SCTA drag racing in 60s. Don’t know about you, but I would buy the whole series if they looked like this! Maybe print ain’t so dead after all…
