Let’s just face it, if you wrench on old cars and live in the USA, we are spoiled beyond belief. Compared to the rest of the world we have: Extremely cheap gasoline, access to any automotive tool ever made, and an abundance of vintage OEM and aftermarket parts at the click of a computer mouse. We can complain all we want about getting a project finished, but it’s not like enduring the extreme dedication required just to build a traditional hot rod and keep it on the road in many distant countries. Thats why I smile when I see these pictures my buddy Bob sent me from Argentina yesterday. Two guys wrenching on an old school roadster on a busy street corner. No garage and minimum tools. Check out the hand built details like the custom grille insert and a fabricated Duvall-style windshield. This is scrappy ingenuity, my friends; Making it look as good as possible with limited resources at your disposal. The crown jewel in my eyes?
