Hot Rod Cover Cars at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours

You may have read this earlier thread on a vintage Hot Rod class coming back to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance for 2019… Specifically historic cover cars from Hot Rod Magazine. I have an exciting update to share with you, and a question to pose as well… Ken Gross will be head judge in this class, and for those that know him, he’s very good at getting great cars together for a specific display or class. Normally I have served as what’s called an ‘Honorary’ Judge at Pebble Beach for the past few years, mainly helping with groups of cars that are judged on less technical basis, but I’m over the moon that Ken has asked me to help him with the Hot Rod Cover Cars this year! Woo Hoo! I’ll make sure to report back to the HAMB how it all goes… Just know there will be some good stuff there!

And now for that question: If you were picking your all time favorite cover cars from Hot Rod magazine that are still around, which ones would rise to the top? For me, I love the Bob McGee Roadster (Oct. 1948), Jack Calori’s ’36 (Nov. 1949), and the So-Cal Speed Shop Truck & ’34 Coupe. How about you?
