Which T Should it Be?

I’ve got a very smart and creative buddy who loves Americana between the 1890s and 1920s. A few years ago he built a modern house cleverly disguised as an old timey wooden cabin, along with a narrow gauge railroad running up the hill from a beautiful train barn at the bottom to a guest house at the top… Super cool, right? He’s not a hot rod car guy per se, but I’ve finally convinced him to let me find a flivver with patina to go along with the property. I’m thinking a very early Ford T jalopy, hopped up with 20s era speed equipment would be perfect for bombing up and down the country side, taxiing guests to the cabin, and general mayhem. My only question now is which body style Model T should I target for his particular style? At first blush, the Roadster Pickup is my favorite: Open top fun, utility bed in the back, and hot rod looks. Another strong runner up in my mind is the all-wood Station Wagon (aka Depot Hack): Decent weather protection, holds more people than a Roadster and still has room for luggage. The last T body style on the list is a rare one, but still quite high on cool points: The Huckster. Sort of like the Station Wagon with it’s all-wood body and long roof, yet typically a single bench seat, Hucksters offer bed space similar to a TT truck. Imagine any one of these three Model Ts, hot rodded with an OHV conversion like a Rajo head, accessory wire wheels and maybe a two-speed Ruckstell rearend.
