Miniature Model Motors!!!

I really do marvel at these machinists with the talent and patience to produce scaled-down, running engines. It’s hard enough for me to just assemble actual old car parts and make a motor that will turn over, or even just build a V-8 model kit, but to custom-build a miniature, functional version of a real motor from scratch is at a whole other skill level. Each individual part must be fabricated, machined, even cast, then assembled, accumulating hundreds of hours of build time… Even the pumps, hoses, valves- Everything in 1/3 or even 1/4 scale. The end result is undoubtable cool, but I keep asking myself who has the time to do this, and at the same time being grateful that these guys do!
