The Art of Bonneville Buttons

The Art of Bonneville Buttons

A while back I wrote about the Jack Kukura Roadster as it was sitting for sale over at Fantasy Junction near my office. Along with lots of documentation on the car, Jack had managed to also keep his participant pin from every Bonneville meet that he attended through the 1950s. Over the years I’ve seen one or two of these buttons in person, but not such a large collection from the best time period in racing, and all belonging to the same guy. Maybe it’s because I love graphic design and hot rod history, but this kind of stuff really flips my lid. Even today, one of my favorite elements of retro car events is when they get the details like this right for credentials and passes. Anyway, I thought it might be a nice little inspiration for you to see these as well… Enjoy!
