In Honor Of Bonneville

In Honor Of Bonneville

In honor of the return to racing at Bonneville this week, I thought it might be fun to feature two old videos I made about seven years ago – one featuring a car that made it’s name at Bonneville in 1948 and the other that is still making a name for itself. Let’s start with the first:

Obviously, my video skills were still developing back in 2010 but I can’t help but love that video. It’s raw, jerky, and overly casual… but the Khougaz roadster is just so damned gorgeous. You can read the full feature from that day here.

The second video is just as poorly produced, but every bit as fun to watch… John Joyo and I assaulted Bonneville in 2009. We tagged along with the Old Crow Speed Shop while Bobby Green, Lucky Burton, and pals showed us the ropes. It was probably my best car experience of all time. And this video was the result:

You can read my full feature from that year here.

In any case, good luck to all of you on the salt this year! I’m there in spirit if I’m not physically!
