Cruisin’ Paso 20 Years Ago…
Reading Ryan’s post yesterday about the first annual Lonestar Round Up being 15 years ago quickly made me realize a few things:
1. Time really flies and I’m getting old.
2. The first time I went to Paso Robles was ’95- And that was 20 years ago!
I just found this video someone shot at the WCK Cruisin’ Paso gathering in 1995, and although the video footage is quite amateur, it’s a good glimpse at how simple things were at those early shows when wolf whistles and flame throwers were all the rage. There wasn’t any traffic control or police presence- Just a wide range of car styles, including street rods, low riders, restomods, and some muscle cars, all hanging out peacefully at A&W friday night and in the park for the Memorial Day weekend. Eagle eye viewers will spot the Black Dahlia cruising Spring St. as well!
Enjoy…
