The Places You’ll Go

The Places You’ll Go

With every build, there’s a vision. It may be big, it may be small. But at the end of the day, each of us wants to drive our project somewhere when the dust settles and the plates are bolted on. Maybe it’s a drive-in like Harvey’s or Bob’s, or the neighborhood where you grew up — just to show ‘em you did it.

There’s a chance that it could include a temporary smoking of the meats in front of your old high school paired with a trip past your longtime girlfriend’s house. She could still be hangin’ around, right?

For me, I’ve always had visions of grandeur. As soon as my thoughts blip to rods and customs, I envision a wild, scantly planned jaunt across the continental United States from my home in Michigan to the Redwood Forest in Northern California.

With the words of Kerouac buzzing and the open road attracting me like an eastern-facing magnet, I dream of chargin’ West. Whether it’s a roadster, coupe or lowered custom — making the trip across the states behind the wheel of some Early Iron is as traditional as it gets.

So I’ll ask you this — where is your rod or custom going to take you?
