Classified Scavenger: ’61 Chevrolet Wagon

This is one of those featured classifieds that is tough to write. I’d rather delete the ad and hope and pray this one doesn’t sell ’till I have the dough… Damn my journalistic integrity!

Anyway, this is one smoking deal for a blank canvas with one hell-of-a well built foundation. It’s basically a brand new car mechanically with only the fun stuff yet to go before you can call it finished. I’ve already got this one built in my head:

– Deap marroon paint with a pearl white top
– Maybe some Atomic Industry lettering on the doors
– NOS style bright red interior (Fat Lucky would get the job)
– 15″ Radir wheels with some red line radials from Coker
– Ditch the Autometer tach in favor of a Don Garlits inspired job
– Ebay the nitrous kit and pick up some nice stainless

I could use a wagon these days too… I bet you could talk him down to $12k. What do you say?
