Project ’38 Update

When Keith first started sending me images of the Y-Block Ford mounted between the frame rails of our ’38 coupe, it took me a while to notice just how close the oil pan flange was to the front crossmember. Eventually, I did and asked Keith if there was enough room left over for the u-bolts to locate the front spring.

“No. I don’t think there is… I’ll figure it out when I get there,” he replied.

Well, he got there a few weeks ago and I figured some of you guys would appreciate his solution. Simple, effective, and attractive. Check it out:
