I’ve already shared enough about my trip to Japan and their love of traditional hot rodding. One thing I forgot to mention was a great car magazine I always look for when I’m at a major newsstand in Tokyo. Realize that the Japanese LOVE their magazines, and they have glossy (and often pricey) periodicals dedicated to every eclectic subject, from 1930’s Union Worker clothing to vintage 35mm cameras. Fly Wheels is a super high quality bi-monthly publication that covers the Japanese old school hot rod, custom and vintage motorcycle scene quite well. The latest issue I picked up had a 6 page article on Bill Hines and extensive photo coverage of the 1st Annual Tom Branch Sr.  Memorial Run in Southern California. I’ve scanned a few of the more ‘Japan local’ features as well as one page of ads from the back, which I found equally as interesting as the articles.
