Sectioning A ’58 Chevrolet by Gene Winfield

Sectioning A ’58 Chevrolet by Gene Winfield

Gene Winfield has been hosting popular “How To” courses for a number of years now. He is seemingly everywhere at once – one week he is hosting a class in Texas, another he is painting a car on the east coast, and yet another finds him out of the country at some car show. On November 17th and 18th, he is gonna be sectioning a ’58 Chevrolet at his home shop near Mojave, CA and you can stand along side him and learn as he works.

Essentially, you show up at Gene’s shop around 9am each day and sit through a few lectures as Gene walks you through the project plan and teaches you about the tools that will be used that day. After that, you get your hands dirty and learn on the job. All that, plus lunch on both days runs $350 a person – small price to pay for such a valuable education.

If you are interested in the class and want to learn from a legend, give Winfield Customs a call at 661.824.4728. This is one of those bucket list things that everyone should do just once, right?

Anyway, I’m bringing all of this up now because Gene has agreed to help us out here on the Jalopy Journal. Starting next month… But, I’ll get to that later. Stay tuned.
