The Bureau of Lunatic Protection & Advocacy

A recent emergency survey of our field-sources indicates a firestorm of lunacy brewing amongst custom car guys. A failure to prepare for this madness could tax our resources to the breaking point. During the next few months, we will almost certainly be inundated, swamped even, by a nightmare-blizzard of schlock, gibberish, swill, and bullshit of every type and description. It’s a problem that will manifest itself in many treacherous forms and we will have to deal with them all. Thank god I’ve got Blakey Boy Esquire on the payroll or there’s no telling what would become of me and this forum.

Together, the great lawyer and I have formed a new entity – The Bureau of Lunatic Protection & Advocacy. And we’ve already fielded some fan mail:

“Dear Cryin’ Ryan and Company,

It has come to my attention through various avenues not excluding Facebook, Twitter, and other ( even less legitimate) forms of social media, that you are leading an underground movement to squash any and all interest in the traditional custom car. As a passionate follower of Brother George Barris and a long-time member of the Greater Custom Car Club Of America, I urge you to discontinue your disgusting and downright devilish actions at once! A failure to do so will only end in blood shed and further defacing on my Facebook timeline.

Sincerely and with no regard at all for you or the Bureau,

Johnny Iscariot”

The Bureau, of course, takes requests and threats like this very seriously. As such, we’ve quickly sprung into action in an effort to give you, the commoner, some options to protect yourself against such lunacy. At the same time, we’ve also made some moves that advocate the further brewing of such disillusions. See, we here at the Bureau of Lunatic Protection & Advocacy want to keep the peace. We believe there is room in this world for both the crazy and the sane.

The real question is, however, should the two mingle in the same forum or not? Your vote counts, so make it happen.
