The 2012 Lone Star Round Up: Part 2

The 2012 Lone Star Round Up: Part 2

Every year Brian, Will, and Steve let me giveaway an award at the Lone Star Round Up. As silly as it might sound, I’ve grown to take the responsibility pretty seriously. By Saturday afternoon, in fact, I’m usually running around the show like a maniac between my two or three mental finalists trying my damnedest to make a decision. This year pressure was added to the cooker simply due to the fact that I couldn’t leave my booth. I didn’t know what the hell I was gonna do… So, I drafted some pals and begged for help.

Essentially, I told each to make a mental note when they crossed a car that suited my style. As a testament to how well they know me, each returned with a list of about five or six early black Fords. I then had the Heidelburg Hoodlum watch my booth as I set out to look at the nominations. I didn’t have to look long… Mark McCann’s ’28 roadster owned me from the start.
