1937 Orphan Coupe: If you had to take one…

Quite a few folks chimed in on my Million Dollar Question: “Which ’32 Ford?” post, so I thought I’d mix it up a bit. If you had to take one of these ‘Orphan Make’ coupes from 1937, which one would it be? A Hudson Essex Terraplane, a Studebaker Dictator, or a Nash Lafayette? Same rules- You get one stock, running coupe which you can customized how ever you like, but you gotta keep it, drive it, and hopefully enjoy it. All these cars have some really nice Art Deco lines going, and certain unique details that make them a stand out from the others: The Terraplane’s distinctive bird beak grill and long rear fenders, the 3 window Stude’s ‘Rocketeer’ split back window with pancake decklid, or the Lafayette’s super curved B pillar and rounded door tops. No back choice here, just a hard time choosing which one to take…

I wish we saw more of these rare makes showing up as traditional customs, but I know there aren’t many left to find.
