Comic Art

I’m in Hotlanta taking care of some family business. It wasn’t a planned trip and I find myself writing this while sitting in a sketchy hotel on the wrong side of town. It’s one of those joints where you question the historical integrity of the bed sheets and you refuse to take off your socks in fear that you might catch something from the carpet. Just fifteen minutes ago, I was gingerly hovering over the toilet seat while sweating bullets of anxiety. I’d rather use the lavatory in a Chuck E Cheese during some popular three-year old’s birthday.

It’s quite vile. Really, it is…

Anyway, this isn’t an atmosphere that speaks to me. Meaning, I can’t pull my head out of the sand long enough to write a meaningful post for this morning. I tried. It wasn’t happening. So, this is a cop out post written simply to keep my consecutive post count active. Sorry for that. I should be back in the great state of Texas at some point this week. And when I am, you can count on some full custom content with meaning.

Until then, enjoy this stock post written some weeks ago for a purpose I can’t remember:

I love old hot rod comics. I don’t have any to speak of, but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating it every chance I get. I do so through a user’s gallery right here on the H.A.M.B. It just might be one of our best kept secrets… For a couple years now, “rbantique” has been posting his collection of comic art in one of his profile galleries. It has grown to over 500 images of pure color goodness.

Don’t believe me? Well busta, you gotta couple of hours to spare? You are gonna need it.

Check it out. My apologies in advance.
