i am putting 35 wire whls on 48 brk. drums. i bought the spacer from speedway to suport the wheel when tightening lugs, but the hub on the 35 rim hits the drum befor the lug is tight. anyone know how thick a spacer i need to make so lug will bottom out? looks like about 1/8''????

  2. If you mean outside flange style hubs when you say '48 drums, it is usually the balance weights that cause the interference. If you knock them off, '35 wires should clear.

pics would help determine if 40 (inside hub) or 48 (outside hub) drums

the hub [berings and bolts on spindal], the brake drum is on the outside next to the wire rim. the wire rim hits the brake drum befor it bottoms out when lugs are tightend, even w/adapter from speedway.???
