    didn't get much accomplished today, tightened up the inner fenders and put the front fenders on...maybe more tomorrow

    Dads thanks man I've been trying to get it ready to chop. Index a list and check it off. It's so easy to get side tracked then end up overwhelmed. Your car is sweet. Kepp it up
     
  8. This is pure inspiration! Great car you got!
    Working on my 49 for couple years. New brakes, fuel line, and a new gas tank. Old tank was used up - some previous owner did a fiberglass patch job all over the tank bottom! Guess it worked for awhile but it was still trashed.
    Powder coated the wheels black and got a new set of bias WWW.
    OK, I'm back on it this weekend!!!

    okay got the hood ground down today...very pitted when over it with 80 grit, 100, 220...will finish more monday...

    Need to line up the fenders better but you get the idea...

    okay small stuff today, while I'm contemplating what option to peak the hood, (i've researched several threads)

    Decided to clean p the rad too...keeping it copper, with some highlights...you'll see

    EBW...I've always wanted to do this to a rad however never did it...it has a few dents in it but not that drastic...Thanks

    Shovel...Yes I have tow girls...a 2 and 4 year old...however, I get a free day here and there...Its been a great project to work on...trying to get it on the road as a driver...I want to button up the interior before that though...hopefully I'm shooting for June...Thanks

    okay...its been awhile...as said before I got laid off...spent all my budget to this point, need grill parts!...okay chop up some old glass packs...

    alright got it finished, now for the other side, because the chrome was so wasted, and I've no $$ for re-chroming or a new grill (1400.00) I decided to grind it down and paint it a color...no not rattle can chrome...however, I did use Massey Ferguson Tractor Metallic Grey :)...for now that's all I gots

    thanks Royal...yeah, not a shiny new grill, however, I can say I made em and it works for now...I'm sure I'm not the first guy to pull something out of the scrap pile...:)
