yeah, as big as you want
Radir makes a shorter cheater for Falcons and Chevy II's. It is a killer looking tire, and it's a new tire, so there's no fear of it coming apart. My buddy has a pair on his Falcon and they look great. I'm saving for a set for my Falcon as well.
I'm running the Radir 7.75 x 14 on my '65:
I'm not sure how similar in size the wheel well on the '63 is to the '64/'65 Falcon/Comet but it should give you an idea.
Work the metal!!!
Don't let the metal work you!!!
Hurst Racing Tires
The '60-'63 Falcons and Rancheros have smaller wheel wells than the '64-'65 Falcons do. I stretched the wheel well opening 3" to the front on my '63 Ranchero, and was able to fit a 215-65-15 tire on a 7" wide wheel with 4" backspacing:
I never realized that building would be such a great background for car pictures
Muttley, those pics say it all....that Comet is just awesome. Those are the ones I was talking about, and they ride and hook pretty good, too.
drive me nice ranchero !
Yeah, the idea to take some shots there just popped into my head the other day, they came out pretty good. Thanks again for the wheels, they are a perfect fit.
Thanks, it's getting there.
your Merc has a KILLER STANCE..... and that is Half the battle.
I run 205 / 70 /14s on mine but it has been lowered 2 in in the back
i have 275/60/15s on 15x10 rims,, but its tubbed.
As evidenced by the above photos, it mostly depends on your level of ambition.
Could i also get a picture of your front axle set up on your falcon if it isnt to much trouble
