Yeah those Lincoln door buttons are real nice and hard to find... I will shave handels, decided today so in future if i come buy lincoln buttons i will install that.
If you are after an original Lincoln pushbuttons, they are hard to find. But if you dont mind that they are repro, they should be easier to find. There is an alliance vendor,Coolhand who sells Lincoln style buttons. They are a bit smaller than OEM's,but they sure look nice. http://www.logic-industries.com/LincolnButtons.htm
Thanks for the tip! Actually looked at them on e-bay yesterday but dident know that it was an alliance vendor. They sure look cool may be an alternativ to original.
Today i got no work done on the Ford but i did buy another car too, found a plymouth -48 that i got for the absolut right money so i could not say no. Crappy pictures now in the dark when we came home. Anyone that have a clean us title to sell me for a plymouth 40-49?
There's a guy on the hamb who makes really nice repop Lincoln buttons. I can't remember the name right now but he advertises them in the classifieds.
Ok, is there anotherone besides the guy Finnrodder tiped me about to? Thanks for the tip anyway will shave the handels now and when the car is all Together again i maybe buy me a set of those Lincoln buttons
Took some more pictures of the Plyma this morning is a really solid and good running car drove it home yesterday 50 km and it ran super nice, original flat 6 and 3 speed trans.
Thanks for inspiration Mo! I intend to let this car be what it is for now until the Ford is ready then there will be some modifications maybe both body and engine! Did some hours grinding on the Ford today but not much worth showing but i put the front bumper back on the Plyma i like them better with
Haha, cool man. I would rather live in the states for sure most of the year are cold and dark here in Sweden.
My son-in-law is from Sweden! (A great guy) I agree they have some very cool cars, but I have had enough winter in Connecticut, so I don't think I would move there.
Not much to show but today i grinded the last of the roof welds in front and inner side so i can lay some filler on that to. Also did a cleanup on the interior on the Plyma and throwed in some mexican blankets think it look kind of cool. Also took a picture of the so cool looking heat element of the plymouth wonderful design!
My first car was a 56 Merc wagon! I worked all summer to earn the $50.00 to buy it too !!! (1970) Drove it to school and work for 2 years then scored a newer car... a 62 Galaxie. I actually miss driving that old wagon... lot of good memories in it.
Got some work done this weekend, on friday the new driveshaft for mercury came so no the C4 is attetched to to rear end but im still waiting for an oilpan to finish the install. On saturday we took a long drive with the plymouth that was real nice to drive a little so the inspiration to finish all stays and today i worked on the Ford, removed handels and locks, welded it up and shaved the hood. Here are some pictures.
Havent updated in a while but i have finished the new motor install in the mercury so no it is finished and runs great so now back to the Ford and the grinding continues took it outside today in the good weather and grinded for a couple of hours not fun.... But it has to be done
Was out crusing last night with some friends in one of a friends car its a 4 door chevy 53 with great lines!
Traded the Mercury wagon this weekend with this Ford f1 1950 real nice Nebraska truck with lots of surface rost and patina looks cool i think. Always wanted a 49 sedan and a Ford pickup 48-52 so im really happy now little cool becuse the Mercury also was from Nebraska original and now they both are in sweden!
That looks pretty cool! Its good to have a shop truck, now you can haul your parts, bikes etc with style.
Yes its always real good to have a truck! I intend to keep it as it is so i really can use it as its meant to just lower it a little for a softer ride they are really stiff original.
Lowered the pickup today in the back 5 inches came out perfect i think gonna take 1 or 2 inches in the front tomorrow and have ordered chrome reverse rims with new tires that also are a little lower than it will roll as my "shop" truck.
