The Strip Teaser was a local car when I was a teenager.
Here is the Dave Lyle car:
This will go good with the first photo posted of Bonner's car.
Enough for now, I had better get to doing something.
I have wondered whose car this is. I though it was the Lyle car when I first seen it but it is badged different as well as some other differences.
Notice the wheels turned around on the back, this was a common practice back then when tire clearance was a problem.
Im going to look in to that.
That is the Dave Lyall car. I don't remember the complete story....correct me if I'm wrong, but that body was a fiberglass prototype or pre-release show car (in 64 I assume) that Ford used. Once they were done with it, DST built a 65 A/FX race car out if it.
I've seen the car many times at the PFCA Expos and it is one of my favorite Falcon drag cars.
i'm sure its been posted here a gazillion times but heres their site.
One of these days my set up will look like this
I heard this guy was tearing it up in colorado
That is a bad ass pic!!!
Eddie this is how your falcon wagon should look like.
Eddie here you go a Falcon with a ram air hood
In the wheels up shot that was in the inside cover or SSDI the Guy that's standing behind Phil Bonner's 64 Falcon at the starting line is a buddy of mine that lives in Colorado Springs that still drag races and builds race transmissions. Way Kool Dude!!!!
