Steffen, your videos played on my computer. No telling why or why not on any else's. Thank you for the great peek into the past. Lots of interesting things to be found: early production lines, lack of safety equipment for workers, smog in cities, social customs, music, touting of Chevrolet's impact on the economy. Keep them coming.

    Yes that was my intention.
I will accept the rules here: Cars before 65 (and Girls only 65 years up).
But in my private opinion you can understand your hobby - your tradition only if you see all circumstances.
In the vintage car scene in Germany the diskussion is also around all social, cultural and political aspects wich influenced our hobby.
Gas prices, Economic situation of the customers, Insurance, Taxes etc. all political shit but always influencing the cars beeing produced. Fashion, moral - culture - always influenced the cars, their look etc.
The "HotRodRebelImage" is not explainable without the moral background of the 50ties. Thats why I find these education films "How to date a girl" etc. very interessting.
Perhaps this gives an idea why I was posting stuf that is prohibited here.
I'm really interested in diskussing this to get more background about my carhobby.
Would it be possible to diskuss such stuff anywhere else in the HAMB?

  11. Steffen,,I personally think you can learn JUST by reading,,,NO NEED for some discussions...You waste a lot of band width with some of the postings..and RYAN has to pay for such.
