  1. Fred Meyer's!!! Back in the day, the greatest stores in the world, resteraunt, jewelry, groceries , clothes and EVERYTHING ELSE (including lumber ), you name it!
    Of course now they suck, just a typical big box type store.

    You are right. While I will miss seeing just which cars some of you thin-skinned gentlemen feel are "ugly," I should go and I will. Thanks for setting me straight.

  8. The last time I remember seeing a PW wasn't that long ago in 1988 when my wife and I were passing through Tacoma WA on a road trip to Vancouver BC.
     
  9. I've heard of Food Giant but it's had to have been at least 40 years ago.
    I remember they had a logo with a farmer dumping a bunch of produce out of a basket.

    They still do well and treat their people decent too. No lumber anymore though.

    … ah, anyone else find this lift a little strange ? So what are we missing here …. Front end supported by lift cylinder, check… Rear frame supported by two load stands, check … So how did they lift the car up south of the front frame …. ?

    Our local Freddies had a home improvement center but closed it many years ago.
    Nowadays having an instore Starbucks is the big priority.
