Back again with another pile (6 parts this time). This time, for the most part, my sources were vintage high school and college yearbooks. This took a bit of work as the scans on the Classmates site can be rather small, plus all of them had a greenish tint that had to be removed, contrast and brightness had to be fixed, and of course sized and cropped (and often tiled together). A few were from the center of the books so they had gaps in the middle and had to be re-aligned, so I did the best I could. Anyway, hope you like 'em - let's see how many get reposted by somebody else in the next week or two... ;) I kid, I kid...

No info other than it was in the days when the first American jetliners, like this DC-8, were still pretty new and exciting - this was from the 1961 Aviation HS yearbook from Redondo Beach, CA.

Saved this for last. (Brace yourselves.) Remember back in '61, when a '40 Buick Model 91 long wheelbase touring sedan was worth about fifty bucks?

Okay. Remember Animal House? "When I get through with this thing, you won't even recognize it!"

That would be at Fremont drag strip. Sponsor on the hood was my uncle's auto supply in Hayward, CA.
