I believe that is a Northrup XP-56. An X fighter prototype, pusher aircraft.

Years ago, I recall some poor fella who owned one of these classy caddy flower cars, but was getting flack from his neighborhood association's ban on parking trucks in the neighborhood. Just one reason I'd never live in an association- not if you're a car guy! So he wrote into a magazine- I think it was Car & Driver- and they proved for him that no, Cadillac did not make trucks (this was before the Escalade era), and the flower car is not a truck, and he should be allowed to have it. Don't know if the argument worked though.

L.A. Union Station. IIRC this sort of overrun has happened more than once over the years.

If the "association" didn't like trucks I wonder what they thought about a flower car or hearse? Yep, associations are really rough on car guys and gals., but then many cites and towns have rules about old cars that are just about as bad. That's on of the reasons we moved out into the country.

Not to get into a lengthy debate, but the registration and DMV should trump the nannies in the HOA. If it is registered as a car, then it's a car.
