Vintage shots from days gone by!

Look again, and check if you see pictures with no vintage cars, or hot rods in them. airplanes and planes are off topic unless they have a car in them which would be material for a hot rod or custom. Pictures with dancing, though interesting, are off topic. I was almost banned from posting. and several members were. Though they may be pictures of days gone by. The forum itself is dedicated to "Traditional" Hot Rods. So other nostalgic pictures are considered Off topic and could get this thread shut down.

 

What??? I believe this is "just" a vintage photo thread... always has been... regardless of the subject matter. Didn't Ryan create a "cars only" version of this thread recently? Regardless, this is one of the best threads on the planet, IMHO. I think it's future is bright. Gary

 

About a year ago, I posted a bunch of vintage toy pictures. I started with cars, but included space toys and robots. All vintage. I was given a warning and told if I continued I would be banned from the forum. I questioned as I did not understand fully what I did that was wrong. And I was referred to the "Traditional Hot Rod" description in the forum guidelines. Just because the title of this thread is "Vintage Shots of Days Gone by" That does not mean it is open to anything and everything. Since, I have done my best to stay "On Topic" because I love the forum, and this thread, and would hate to see it go away.............

Swi , I do remember that now that you mention it. So many photos roll through here everyday that it's easy to get off track. Also flathead guy.....when your right......your right!

 

You are correct, each picture should have to do with traditional cars, or old cars. FYI the "Bomber" is included because it's a gas station! But yeah, I think I have at least one old car in each pic I post, them's da rules!

 

O yeah....almost forgot why I visited this thread today. Found these two photos.

 

Ford had some really unusual stuff in S America . I remember Willys taking some old Willys body dies and revamping them too

Berry pulled out to pass a slow-moving vehicle and slammed full-speed into a truck that was unexpectedly parked at the curb. The Paramedics that arrived on the scene thought Berry was dead. Checking his vital signs, they found he was alive, and rushed him to the UCLA Hospital. There they found Jan's brain had been severely damaged and even numerous major brain surgeries could not completely repair the damage.. Not expected to live, Berry was in a coma for months and awoke unable walk, speak and was paralyzed on the right side."
