    Many thanks to all who are posting the great pictures,I really like the ones from the early to mid 60s since that is when I started paying attention to what was out in the world and remember it well. Probably need to quit looking at these pictures since I would really like to find a time machine and go back and stay.

    Village of Red Hook NY. Taconic State parkway ended at Rt199 in Milan and the only road north after that was Rt.9 in Red Hook

  12. Centralia is still there, just doesn't look like that anymore. I imagine the Lewis or Toutle Rivers flooded a lot back then - can't remember what Mt. St. Helens did to it flooding-wise.

    Back when banks used to pay you interest. I think the decimal has moved a couple of spaces to the left now a-days.
     
  15. This was the Chevrolet dealership here in Grand Gorge N.Y.
    1929-Mid 1990's
    My father was a mechanic here. His was a school teacher, but worked in the office at the dealership in the summers
    My grandfather (mother's side) was a body man.
