A rather snide comment from someone who can't get the name straight. His name was Ernie Kovacs. " Kovacs, who had worked for much of the evening, met Adams at a baby shower given by Billy Wilder for Milton Berle and his wife, who had recently adopted a three-year old boy. The couple left the party in separate cars" IIRC it was raining according to the newspaper account I read at the time. A real shame, he was a great talent. Guess what? Normal people drink at parties, especially in 1962. A little respect please.

Looks like they are working on a clay model of a 57 Chevy in the background.

SWI66, any idea where the airplane filling station in post #93704 is located? I thought Knoxville, TN had the only one. Of course that's assuming its still there.

(ca. 1939)* - Royal Albatross, an airplane used as a service station, located on the eastern vertex of a narrow strip of land bordered by Ventura Boulevard (south), Ventura Place (north, seen here, foreground) and Laurel Canyon Boulevard (west). Gasoline pumps are set up under the wing spans.

Great seeing the North Pole sign again.

I used to take the kids there years ago on vacations. Really Cool place.
