I do remember seeing a picture or two of this bus 40 something years later and looking very rough, you could still see how it was painted but if its not in the projects sitting and rotting thread I cant remember exactly where it is and maybe someone will remember.

There is a revival going to restore the old bus, which lay on the Kesey Farm in Oregon. The 1939 Wayne International ( IHC) the original “Further” bus, is in a pretty deteriorated condition.

Honestly, I am quite embarrassed, I should have known that, such a prestigious and well known award.

  25. If I'd been having dinner at this table, I'd probably have several fork wounds as a result of missing my mouth.

(Hmmm. Or is it Victoria's Cross, with an apostrophe??? I hope I didn't offend any blokes, Kiwis, Joeys, Limeys, etc.!

TRIVIA: The Plymouth is an early '38 "Business" model. BOTH longtime customers and dealers alike revolted. The high headlights and imposing grille treatment, they said, was a ham-handed step DOWN from the delicate '37 front end. And the decision to call the P-5 the "Business" model made it sound working-class to downright COMMERCIAL!

Actually, they were RIGHT. Poor branding. So, Plymouth acted fast to move the headlamp pods down a couple of inches and renamed the model the "Road King." Consumers and dealers alike were molified, somewhat. But the uproar probably had a lot to do with the '39 facelift (which I still find awkward, prior to the fresh styles from '40 on).

And they all lived hapily ever after! Aw!:D
