It was called the "All American Meal", with change back from your dollar. I remember it cause my family had a restaurant back then and we took cues from Ronalds advertising.

There's something about that picture, the cars, the bicycles and the guys in it that doesn't jibe.
Single speed "ONE GEAR" & no hand breaks visible -
possibly Fixed Gear or also Known as "FIXIE" ----

Someone a little insecure about what THEY'D look like in spandex?
I was thinking the same, the bikes, clothes and hair cuts of the guys riding the bikes looks too new.

My Uncle and his BSA
I was thinking the same....like a more worldly vibe in the body language than what what we had in the 60's.
I originally thought it was a pic from Brazil, they still run early rides on a daily basis..
One gear, no brakes. Hell its a speedway bike.
When I was around 12 or 13 ( couple centuries ago) I had a "minimalist" bike that I had removed everything related to brakes, fenders, and so on. I used to jam my shoe between the frame and rear wheel for braking. In a summer I wore down 2 rear tires and had a nice slot on my left tennis sole. The greatest gig was to arrive at full speed, jam the rear wheel and came to a screeching halt, the longer and louder the better. Ah. the good old days!!.
I'm sure I'd look like a dork I regularly do an hour street/trail ride on my old rigid street bike in my normal attire, even on epic cross country rides it's never occurred to me I needed spandex and I resent paying for someone else's advertising.
