A really great place from yesteryear that still exists for family fun today, Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk.

One of the scariest rides on the boardwalk was located on the south end called the Wild Mouse. I swear I thought these lil cars were going to come off the tracks. Look at that track!! These cars dropped almost at 90 degrees and made hairpin turns. Look how high you sat in these contraptions. It was NUTS!!! Great family fun. (my older brother told me) I was too chickensh. . .

    :DALTERNATE CAPTION - "Bill had
warned his wife many times before,
about her leaving the taps running
while filling the kitchen sink and
then forgetting about it and going
out. And now, finally, just as he had
    always predicted.....this!!!

Another yesteryear spot still around is the Lick Observatory at Mount Hamilton overlooking Santa Clara Valley. Car enthusiasts, take this drive if you havent yet.

This well know trackless train was built by Harry O. Magee of the H. O. McGee Manufacturing Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana in 1924. Check it out and see many more photos and information on theoldmotor.com
