Hot Rods Vintage Mag. Feature of the Week: Dick Patterson '31 Coupe

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bass, Jun 13, 2005.

  1. You're a real inspiration, Dick. It's a killer car. Love how tight the Y-block is to the firewall (did you have to dimple it for the disty?), the rake, the top, the outa-site interior and the dual-McCulloch Y-block is indelibly etched in my feeble mind (got one VS-57 and on the prowl for the other).

Many thanks for the creativity you've shown!

How Rad is the back view of this car? It looks so menacing for a show car and i think that's where this one differs from some of the cars being built back then and labeled as a show car. This one still looks like a hot rod even though it has all of the superfluous 60's type stuff. I never go crazy about cars this wild but this one has me hook, line, & sinker. RAAAAAAAADDD!!!

Then the guy that built it comes on in less the a couple hours and verifies what he did. Man I love this place.

I found my old rod and custom the other day with this on the cover, in the gold/copper paint. I'll scan it soon and post. Love this thing

  19. Bump for a cool old thread, and a 'did anyone figure out what happened to this Coupe', question.
