After a little misunderstanding with the powers that be my original thread was deleted, but I have permission to re-post info about a new show that Kansas and I are starting - the White Knuckle Scramble.

It will be a rallye for VINTAGE (and homebuilt) go karts and minibikes. We're still working out details, but we're modeling the event in part after kart/mini events covered in hot rod magazines in the early 1960s. So, expect a road course, drags, Le Mans starts, and tournaments.

We should be posting up some build parameters soon, but we will be shooting for the look of the classic era of karting & minbiking... 1956-1964, so vehicles will need to reflect that, but the rules won't be as strict as the vintage karting clubs requiring vintage engines and equipment. Stay tuned on Facebook and our website! And here of course. :)

Nope. You were trying to keep the HAMB line clean and neat, and sometimes it's not so black & white! :) I ran the Hunnert Car Pileup for 10 years. No matter how black & white we made the entry criteria, there was always a lot of grey in the inspection queue. :D

Thank you for being reasonable and reconsidering.

    The HAMB rocks.

I order a lot of stuff from APSKarting.com and OMBwarehouse.com but GoKartSupply.com and BMIkarts.com are good for most parts.

I'm not one to glorify celebrities, but Sir Stirling Moss is racing ROYALTY. Literally.

I suppose it depends on how vintage your parts need to be. I know Northern Tool carries a lot of go kart parts. There are a few vintage minibike sites around that might be able to help you if they're bike-specific.

    I'm soooooo there :D

and I think I can fit BOTH my go-cart AND mini-bike in my wagon.

Yeah, I've got LOTS of room for a bigger engine.

oh yeah, do I have to disclose my ex-husband built and raced karts as an adult for many, many years and we are still friends? :D

Most fun per dollar you can possibly have on wheels.

I have less than $1000 into both a kart for my son, and a kart for me. $200 for my kids Birel roller, + $150 for the new engine and clutch. I paid $500 for my running Margay, then sold the worn briggs raptor for $150, and turned that money into a new engine and clutch. They aren't quite as vintage as what you're looking for, but they are way too old to be competitive on a race track.

Good luck with this, looks like a blast...

You sure do like to get dirty, Denise.

Heck, you could probably load the kart onto the roof. I wonder how many karts and minis I can stuff in and onto the Econoline...

Hell is officially over for this year! I'll sit and get something out to you over the weekend. Wish I could join you guys up there, but it's probably not real feasable.
