Nothing new for now... Well, maybe a couple OT but period correct teasers from my next
“Dreamer” series project which should be done soon...

If it helps, this piece features a 1963 factory built, owner modified, American icon putting the wood to this car... so, by osmosis, it will be on topic soon...

It's good artwork that makes the heart beat faster! Great job capturing emotion and building suspense!

 

There's no real tie between the two, but when I look at this shot it reminds me of the title of the
Tom Wolfe book "Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamlind Baby".

 

I'm glad your driver has better sense than than the hot rodder chick several posts up. She would have tried to beat the train!

Hello,
The ever popular, Baja races were invading and crowding our secret surf spots from the early 60’s in Mexico, so I decided that if we can’t stop them, then build our own Baja Truck to get to our surf spots faster, over those rough terrain, tire-eating, roads and ruts. (671 SBC, all-wheel drive truck with room for 3, A/C and all of the surf stuff in the back.) The boards could be attached to the top and roll bar structures. At the time, the drawings were for functionality, so a clear Teflon-strength, Lexan structure covered the rear area for weather protection and cleanliness on those dirt roads. It is good to be first in the procession from the highway to the water. Dust trails for the followers.

Speaking about functionality, it was probably not a design to work well as tube headers, but it was fun drawing those curvy, designed pipes. Individual color for each exhaust port added to the design.
