Wife said " no working in the garage today on cars".....so I went out and painted an old guitar with the left over paint.
Don Dennis of Minnesota City is doing the lettering and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm hoping to get over to his place and catch him in action, but he's slinging paint faster than I imagined.
Me too, I haven't seen it yet myself! Might not be completely finished but we plan on dragging it out to our local car show in June and the Meltdown Drags are starting to look like a reality. It's probably going to get moth balled for a couple weeks after Don get's done with it. We just brought another "paying" project home last night to help fund this project.
I remember the 63 plymouth he had in the 80s. Beautiful car with burgundy paint and i think it had his name in gold leaf on the doors. Been a long time though.
Working on projects to make some extra cash to pay the lettering bill. Don's working too fast and I feel like I'm in a race!!
Don's finishing things up today and we get to bring her home tomorrow. Don was the guy I wanted to do this project and I'm so glad he agreed to take it on. Grand slam in my book! I told my wife I have a new girl friend.....
Seriously though, that is awesome. Great job on the paint and that lettering is amazing...wish I could do something like that...
