I'm liking it, but then again, I'm a little biased when it comes to Sedan Deliveries. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
The pictures make it look a little more orange than it actually is. There's a little pearl in it and it should look good in the sunlight. I think we got lucky with our color choice.
Scott got a package also a few years back. It was stolen out of his car while he was at work. He knows who did it but ya can't prove much when you don't "notice" it till later on. Thing he was bummed out about more than ANYTHING I think was they got the 2 timecards from Cecil county Drag-o-way that had been in the original rose(glove box) from back in the day. Totally irreplaceable items.
Sure did! How's Scotty coming on the original? Trust me, I know how hard it is to come up with the time and money for these projects, but if there's a will, there's a way. We need to get a fire started up underneath him and get that thing going. Seems like once the paint went on this one, all the hard work and money spent was forgotten.......although that will change when my parts store bill comes next month.
Loaded up and heading back home. I have to acknowledge and thank my friend Greg Theis for letting me use his paint booth and equipment to paint the car. Greg is a one man show custom car builder that does outstanding, award winning work. I wanted to paint this thing myself, but it would have never turned out this well without his equipment and guidance. Thanks Greg!
Hood Emblem. This is one of those things where the 100 bucks just might be better spent elsewhere and I had this one. 3 hours of, straightening, buffing and a little modelers paint and we'll call it good.
Side projects this weekend. Had to put something shinny on it to make me feel better for not working on it this weekend. We'll be buffing on it next weekend. I'm not going to get too carried away with the buffing. I'll knock the dust and high spots off and shine it up a little....it aint a show car...it's a race car!
"Be all you can be", like the old ARMY slogan in advertising. Make it shine like a diamond in Richard Rawlings a**. Get some of that clear vinyl material for the rear quarters to help keep the tire shreds off the paint. JMO. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Progress is slow, but steady. Painted the Jenkins arrow today. Should go to the sign painter soon. Might drag it out to a small local car show next weekend as is for little a break.
Loudbang - That pic had me wondering, too. Looking close, the tailgate hinge is visible just above the bumper. So it's a wagon, not a windowed delivery.
