Event Coverage The Roadtrip. Stockholm/Sweden to Los Angeles/USA

A little late intro but this is Mikael and Helene. They got this great 28 Truck together just in time to load it in the Atlantic carrier. They did only manage to get like 40 miles of test drive before the road trip but the car runs like a champ. (302 engine)

One quick question. Do you have to purchase vehicle insurance here in the states or does your policy from home cover you?

I arrived at the fairgrounds this morning at 5:45 and Martins 5 wndw was covered with dew, having sat in the p-lot all night. They arrived later and seem to be having a good time. Pic is Martin swapping secrets with Joe Kerr.

 

Arrived to Louisville yesterday evening and was way to tired to post anything .
Today has been crazy.
Meet a lot of nice Hambers and we got invited to a great evening Cookout held by Pat / Rita Stilger and Scott / Crystal Reece. It was so fun, Thanks

Heard of leaving for a local or distant rod run with only a few test miles--sending car/truck across pond for it is something else! Do they have a metal roof and visor on the A pickup? Really like the looks of it.

This is totally awesome! I have always dreamt of shipping my car to Sweden to drive it around and you guys did the opposite. If you guys have sterios in the cars I hope Eddie Meduza is blaring down the highway! Enjoy and safe travels!

While in Louisville I had the Tires changed . The old once was the first version of the Excelsior and they was Bias Ply. The new tires are the Stahl Radials. They look similar and the car feels totally different . No more floating around on the lanes.

 

Had a photo shot yesterday for the Street Rodder Magazine and Mike's truck is going to be featured in the Classic Truck Mag

 

Well if you're not good in English , you certainly make up for it with your sense of humor. Made me LOL !!!

Thanks so much fellas for your glad posts.
Haven't post much during the weekend , it been so much going on.

As if the Top 100 wasn't enough I also got the "Pro Picks" award here in Louisville and it was a great honor .
In the end the absolute best thing with this weekend has been meeting and having a great time with all the people I meet. Both Hambers and not . You know who you are and I can only say a BIG Thanks for making this remember able weekend. I'll be back !
