The Cars has arrived to America.
The carrier is in New York now for reloading before going down to Brunswick.

So here we go. Trip starts today. Im flying in to Alabama to pick up my car then down to Brunswick were the rest of the group are coming next thursday. Friday morning we are on our way going west!

 

First morning in Brunswick, we started the trip yesterday with going south thru a nice town named St Augustine and then to Daytona.
Today were heading west and a stop at Garlits is on the schedule

 

Kind of a wet day in Florida, here at Main Street Daytona Beach.

@toucan the shipping worked out without a scratch but the left rear tire hit the quarter bead and made a scratch when I was hitting a pot yesterday. I now adjusted the shocks so it won't happen again.
@FinnishFireball , went to Kennedy Space Center yesterday morning and headed west passing Orlando were we had to mess with the airport about some missing bags and when we passed Ocala the time was 8.00 pm and the museum was closed

 

Long trip up north today and we starts from Lake City , FL
Had a beer at the hotel last night.

I had a '34 sedan that would do that in the heat of the day but relax back into shape at night! You guys have fun and be careful. Tim

I can't tell from your map but when you go between Los Angeles and San Francisco it is best to take the inland route going north and the coast route going south. That will put you near the outside where the view is better and it is easier to stop at the turnouts to enjoy the view. Of course, driving on the cliff side may have it's disadvantages.

@Charlie Stephens , we're going south on PCH after Pleasanton.

Left Lake City FL yesterday morning and went to historic Andersonville and finally stayed at a nice hotel in Anniston/Alabama.

Today we started with a round trip to visit interior guy Paul Atkins and his crew and they did a great grilled burger lunch for us. Paul manage to take care of Ulf's Tudor roof in no time.

After the visit we had another one at Alan Johnson in Gadsden. Very nice guys there who build top notch Hot Rods, Amazing !

 

where to tomorrow?

 

@toucan . We went up to Bryson City in Smokey Mountains yesterday night . Had a neat drive with curves going down hill today and tomorrow we have a few hours drive to Louisville .
