On Tuesday it all begins, my journey of a lifetime.
Together with a few other guys from Sweden were about to have the longest road trip ever.
It starts by crossing Sweden on Tuesday to catch the Walenius Ship that brings the cars cross Atlantic to Brunswick / Georgia .
It take some time for the ferry crossing the Atlantic Ocean so we are flying over to Brunswick the 24th of July.
First thing will be driving down to Daytona Beach and then to Ocala to see the Garlits Museum. Then heading north to attend Street rod Nationals in Louisville. After that heading west all the way to California to attend the Pleasanton meeting. Finally down to LA to spend a week before flying back home.
I'm sure there is going to be a lot of things happening between and I really hope to meet a lot of you guys during the trip.
My Coupe will stay in CA over the winter to attend GNRS and Sacramento Autorama before being shipped back to Europe.

My plan is to keep you updated with pics and updates of we're we are during the road trip .
    Cheers Martin :)

Sounds like a great trip. Looks like your taking I/40/route66. Get a good map and check out Route 66 as time permits. You may only get here once. Pm me if you have any troubles when you get near Kingman Az. or need any local travel advise.

BonnevilleSpeedweek August 8 (tech day) through the 15th. You could cut up to Interstate80, stop at the Salt Flats, and then continue on to Pleasonton via 80. Then run down the PCH to LA.

Wow, fantastic!! An adventure of a life time for sure---I would strongly suggest a detour to B'ville if you can work it in. So much history there----

I just know you're going to have a blast and take lots of pics and post them all up here, right?! Coupe looks killer. I've known of the trip for some time now through Haken who I've known for years - we've done some road trips out of LA over the years. I think Leonardt is on the team too, right? Met him a few times - ask him about the sunburn he got in my roadster going to El Mirage in June, I think 2011.

Planning to get out to Stockholm sometime later this summer, so may well catch you there. Have a great trip, and don't forget those on the road reports.

Outstanding Martin! Looks like your trip from Florida to Louisville goes through Atlanta . . . FYI, maybe you can stop off at High Museum, just a few minutes off I-75 in Atlanta, and check out the Dream Car exhibit http://www.high.org/Art/Exhibitions/Dream-Cars.aspx

Thanks a lot guys, I'll try keep the post coming on the "tour"

    @HOTRODPRIMER , the camera is loaded :)

@brady1929 , @57Custom300 , thanks guys, feels great with the support . I believe it will be needed for those lost swedes ;)

@krusty40 , @37RAT , sadly I miss the salt this time. In the trip there is like 10 guys with different opinions and the road plan with the hotels is already booked but I probably let the coupe stay in LA for some time and maybe I could make a trip next year to the flats.

Yesterday we dropped off two cars at the harbor , my coupe and Mike's A-pick up.
Now it's a looong 4 weeks of waiting until we fly over.

"Haken" already got his 32 roadster in the us and another guy named Ulf has bought a 32 Tudor in the US that waits for him over there.
Leonard has also a 32 Tudor all ready in the states so there is a small crew waiting for the trip .

The Carrier, Independence II under American flag is what brings the cars over the ocean. This guy eats loads of cars :)
