so do any of these hotels have a lounge/ bar area we can take over in the evenings?
Any plans intact for moving bands indoors somewhere?

I can make the best of crappy weather, but Im hoping To make it enjoyable for the wife too.

The motorcycle guys don't fucking sleep! God bless you if stay within a 100 feet of the car coral or bike show!

Last year we stayed at the beach comber, that's where the bike show was.... The bikers in the next room decided to bring thair bikes into the room at 2 am and do burn outs between the beds!!!! Yea...loud and stinky!!

Is there any such thing as a rain out or for that matter a rain date? I'm bringing rain gear so I won't get THAT wet. How do the cars do in wet sand? Good point. what do the bands do in the wet? BILL RINALDI

The bands play under giant "big top" style tents, shouldn't be an issue...

The sand is better in the rain, hard packed!

To Hershey? Well, Hershey falls apart on Saturday, but it still seems like trying to run Christmas, Ramadan. Yom Kippur, Halloween, and Cinco de Mayo simultaneously. Hey, Maybe that's good!

Smart move. The NJDOT and NJSP are already gearing up for a major storm event. Which would mean evacuation of coastal towns way ahead of the storm even if it winds up rolling out to sea. Ive already change my reservations. For out of towners try and stretch it out and attend Hershey.

Poseidon is pissed! Postponing until next weekend Oct. 9,10,11 All tickets will be honored next weekend and if you can't make it next weekend, all tickets will be honored next year. For those already in town or on their way this weekend, we are here we will be here and we are working on throwing a party for you.
Hotels are working with us and will do everything that they can to accommodate.
It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend after the storm has passed.
Mother Nature has been rough on us racers this year, but we won't let it stop us!!

Just called our motel(the Sea Gull) . They said they would keep our deposit but it's good till next years race. Soooooo we will try again next year.
She also said the beach area is very soft at this time and wouldn't be usable for racing.
    Have fun next weekend.
    Damn you Joaquin.

Wow, was lucky and saw the postponement at lunch today on fb and got everything rescheduled. First Delta Airlines was great and moved our tickets from tomorrow am to next week, rental car changed, Seagull Motel was also able to shift us to next week too!! Too bad about this weekend, but good hard decision to play on safety. See you next weekend, let's get this storm past us and get to racing next weekend!! Will have to make up for this crap with an extra big celebration next wkd.!

so bummed but yet so happy.
we were going rain or shine, hopefully this super tuff decision on the oilers part is going to pay off for some great weather next weekend.
Its great to hear how supportive all the hotels are being. Our hotel, AA hearts of wildwood, called us before we even heard the news, they informed us , all is good, and our rooms will be ready for next weekend :)

    later, jeff

Safety First! ( which covers a lot of things, and also eliminates a lot when you're my age!)

Tough call -I feel bad for the long haul guys, but ya can't mess with Mother Nature!
