I'm considering blowing this apart and painting/detailing it all. I'm thinking Model A dark green, dark metallic powder coat on the chassis parts and probably the frame. The shell's too bad to rechrome, so I guess body color would be best. Wheel color red? or lime green or?
Thanks in advance if you can get to this. They seem to be keeping you guys busy around here!

Same here. My sons both like the black ones. Imagine that! Plus when it's aired up, it would look totally stock!

Thank you, great work. Glad I asked you to do this. Not sure about the light green.
    Any Suggestions?

  19. Moose can you throw some ideas up for me on taillights and back window. Not sure on split oval style rear window or something simpler.

Taillights ? I've been all over the ass end with paper cut outs and magnets.
I'm thinking (and consequently stuck) that the back window shape and taillight shape should compliment each other at least not clash.

I really like the taillight treatment on the black coupe but I don't have fenders.? Just because I like it doesn't make it right for this car :)
3 inverted 62 corvette lights tickles my fancy too, especially if they are wired sequentially.

I have several ideas for a rear nerfbar but they change based on taillight arrangement.

    Thanks

How about something different yet familiar? '40 ford back window, '41 chevrolet taillights. Keeping it simple.

That's not bad. My shell's a little too high, huh? I like the simpler look, but I hate to cover up the Hilborns. How about some color on the wheels?
    Thank you,
    Tony

I know this is the complete opposite of you asked for, but I wanted to see what your rpu would look like full-fendered.....

It's a rough rendering, but I just love that car, I just kept looking at it and wanted to develop it a bit more. Chopped, dropped tinted glass and two tone is how I would build if it belonged to me. I've got the same thing only in purple which looks good too,but butterscotch and plum just look that little bit different.

  27. Well that's a better visual than I've had so far. Thanks.
Sometimes I think kidney bean shape, sometimes I think 1/2 oval with rounded top and almost flat bottom, sometimes I think split. I'm really all over the place and the bad part is I haven't ruled anything out so there's no direction and that back window is next

Those tailights are 7.6x1.75 for scale and the flat spots on the tail pan are 2.5" and 6".
I can make the rear window any kinda way but I can't make tailights :)

  29. Hey 31vicky ....Here's a couple. The split window is a 41 Willys . Look good both ways but my eye keeps going to the split window. Also threw in the Corvette lights.
