  1. These ones are pretty good! I like the belly tank and the T roadster best....

  6. This is the Berardini Bros model A roadster that they campaigned along side the more famous '32.... The flames are the same style, but they seem a little smaller.... I guess to suit the model A.
    The '32 just for comparison

YUUUUUUUP,"dustyoldbodyman", now those ARE flames. Nicely flowing, lickin at your butt. Also I agree with"thehighlander" on not having to be perfect on both sides, close yes. Fire sure as hell aint perfect. My 2 cents. Below is my 64 Buick.

Way back in the 1950's, when I was a kid growing up in Eastern Canada, a local hot rodder had a shoe-box Ford (it might even have been a convertible). The one thing that I remember about that car was the hand-painted flames that appeared to be coming out from underneath. The flames were amateurish and I used to think they looked terrible, but with age my opinions have mellowed and if I had a shoe-box Ford I would love to paint it in the same style.

This is a picture I drew from memory. The details may not be correct, but the general appearance is as true as my memory will allow.

That's pretty cool! I like the "gold tooth". It somehow avoids being corny.

Josh Shaw laid these out. Me and my son sprayed them. Josh took less than 2hrs. TOTAL! His talent is amazing. Almost sickening.LOL

There are some great rides on this page and the 4th but some those flames don't really fall under "the other flames." Those are the popular style which I'm avoiding here.. I'm sure if we started a thread for those kinda flames solely, they would surpass this thread within a day.

I appreciate the efforts but let's stick with "the other flames."

Is this the same roadster (note the distinctive 'lick' from the longest flame) as in the original posters collection? Note also the grille, the Halibrands on the rear and just the year and bodystyle.

I wondered that myself.. I'm convinced it is. Same grille, same exhaust, same flame lick, etc.

    More on that roadster:
