This is a Ford blue. I really need to ask to body shop what year and name, I picked it form paint chips. I believe its form the late 90's.

These were taken in the evening. The paint has a lot of burgundy in it and blue if from pearl, so it turns more purple when the sun starts to set. I need to take some pictures during the day now that I have it all back together again, but here is what the paint looks like in bright sunlight.

I like the blue with a good flame job.. or pinstriping done right...

Ive got a shop logo i want to put on mine that has the earllier

Texaco wings in it... done in medium red.

That coupled with a red interior I think would be pretty traditional... and cool.

I have a feeling this will be an option for me 'till I can afford a more Glamourous paint job... basically as soon as its straight I will shoot it with this to get it one color... instead of the common flat black...

its supposed to be Washington Blue but i doubt it. Stan Betz mixed to match some paint when i louvered the hood and i know its got green and a bunch of other colors in it,cause i watched when he did it. Its a great color, changes depending on the light. At night it looks very dark and in bright sunlight its a medium blue.

  7. Miller91 what blue is that? I've thought of doing a very dark blue instead of black for my Merc.

Kirker Paint Ultra Blue Pearl. It's a GM color but I don't know what year etc.

My wife picked it out. I liked it better when it was orange.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but I'm considering GM Indigo Blue for mine. It's the same crap that's on a ton of Silverado's, cavaliers, etc. But when it's buffed up nicely, it's beautiful!

I know the Chevy's very OT, but the paint looks great!

We are nearly on the same boat... except mine likely wont be straight enough for a really nice deep black/blue... who knows though. It might happen.. Im even leaning towards... eh dont shoot me... a mixture bewteen a semigloss or matte black with a blue... so it will have an older not so shiny look... and the paint is cheap.. lol. I know a guy here who painted his a deep red... it was mixed rustoleum flat black and gloss red... granted it wasnt a show stopper but it has a unique look... not good or bad... but he only spent 16 bucks for the paint. been on the truck for a few years.. doesnt look much different than it did when it was painted.. not as rich.. a few scratches.

dont know if I will opt for that cheap or not... but it would get me by till I could afford a 2k paint job... and its not flat black with red wheels. it would be for awhile anyway dark blue with black wheels...

I wondered about that too.... not necessarily the pearl.. but
Base of black and paint some almost candy or thinned blue on top so the
black shines through... I saw it done before... but cant remember all the steps involved.

I loved this one at the LA Roadster show. This is the color I might go with for my roadster. If I can find out the color..
