    Truly a neat car. Predecessor to the Shelby Cobra in a way. Anyone have pictures of the car at speed on the salt? I love stationary but there is something special about a car when it is flying down a track. I think it has to do with the fact that it is doing what it was built to be doing.

    The best part of this story is the humility of the current owners and restorers.

    Too many of the cool old cars are being bought up by guys for no other purpose than being in the spotlight for their "big bucks" classics.

    Also this car represents a period of time before big factory involvements when individual ingenuity ruled the tracks.

    I have laid hands (and wrenches) on this car and the pictures dont do it justice. This thing just screams cool from all angles. I'm a diehard chevy guy, but the hemi in this thing makes me drool. Jim and Lea Ann are true gearheads.

    I wonder if they would consider brining it to the H.A.M.B.drags?

    It sure would fit in with the atmosphere there. I think the present owners would be a good fit too.
