    Tempest and nope it's not the same one from the other page but it sure looks like it. The give away is coil color and wiring on the right inner fender.

    The '61 Hipo 389 368 HP has the over the counter Heavy Duty aluminum manifold. All assembly line tri-powers used cast iron manifolds. Pontiac used the H.D. designation for some performance parts (optional McKeller cams, heads with bigger valves/screw in studs, etc) in '60-'61 before changing to Super Duty.

    The guy to talk to about that set-up would be Gale Plummer of Blown Plum Crazy in Portland Oregon he is the man if you want to know any thing about blowers..... I met him years ago threw my uncle Gale was helping him out on a 6:71 for his model A Gale has been eating and breathing blowers for over 40 yrs I believe this car was his if I remember right it was in his garage when I was there last ? It's been yrs....

    I was right, I just wasn't sure because the paint didnt look right.
    I even did a Google scan. Those big rear wheels are American 200-S IIRC.
    Pretty well known car in these parts, not far from me.

    Looks like I will get the chance to try a M/T cross ram on my new 409 combo for the Bel Air.
    In the cam selection mode for now.

    Sounds like fun! 409's aren't something that you see very often. Those engine's and the Ford version "MEL's" are strange birds indeed....

    I have been beating on this one for a few years now.
    But we are stepping up the program this year with a 460 inch version with hopes to be in the mid 10s.
